It's been a whirlwind of activity lately, with exciting projects and some truly unforgettable experiences! I'm happy to share a little bit about what I've been up to.
Professionally, I've been deep in the world of Request for Proposals (RFPs), designing another two to help businesses connect with the services they need. It's always a rewarding challenge to craft these documents to be clear, concise, and effective.
But it hasn't been all spreadsheets and formal documents! I've also had the pleasure of working with the wonderful folks at NOVA Wild zoo and safari. I recently put together a newsletter for them, helping to share their news and connect with their community of animal lovers.

And speaking of NOVA Wild, I had an absolutely fantastic time at their recent Easter Egg Hunt! It was a blast to be there capturing photos of the families and the joyous chaos of kids on the hunt for colourful treasures. The zoo offered a fantastic springtime event, complete with real bunnies, a hot breakfast, a scavenger hunt, and of course, appearances by the Easter Bunny – perfect for those family snaps!

The highlight of my recent NOVA Wild adventures, though, has to be the incredible Capybara and Sloth encounters. I was lucky enough to experience these up close, primarily to take photos for the zoo.
The Capybara encounter is a chance to spend about 20 minutes with these surprisingly large and charming rodents. Under the guidance of a zookeeper, you can learn all about them, take pictures, and truly get a sense of their calm personalities. (Just a tip if you go – closed-toe shoes are a good idea!). They even have baby capybara encounters at times! Meeting "Capy(Barbara)" and "Capy(Barney)" (as they affectionately call two of their capybaras) was a real treat.

Then there was the Sloth encounter! I got to meet their two-toed sloths, SloMo and Siesta, in their specially designed interactive habitat. During the 15-minute, zookeeper-guided tour, I learned so much about these fascinating South American creatures. It’s an amazing opportunity to see them up close, take photos, and appreciate their slow and deliberate pace of life. It's an experience that really makes you pause and appreciate the diversity of the animal kingdom.

These encounters are such a unique offering at NOVA Wild, allowing guests (with a general admission ticket and a separate encounter fee) to have a more personal and educational experience with the animals. It was fantastic to be able to capture these moments. Also for all the mom's out there you can get into the NOVA Wild zoo and safari for free on Mother's Day!
On the web design front, I'm thrilled to announce the launch of a brand-new homepage for AnotherBrilliantIdea.com! This project came together with a quick turnaround, and I’m incredibly proud of the result. Bringing a fresh, engaging vision to life on a tight timeline is always rewarding — especially when it’s for a company as dynamic and purpose-driven as Another Brilliant Idea.
