A User-Focused Website Redesign: The New MindShift Gym

I’m so excited to share one of my latest website projects—the newly redesigned MindShift Gym website!
MindShift isn't your typical gym. With parkour, aerial arts, acrobatics and other unique movement programs, it offers experiences you won't find just anywhere. So that meant this couldn't be a typical website redesign either.

A Website Redesign That Starts With the User Journey
My goal wasn't simply to make the website look better. I wanted to make it easier for someone discovering MindShift for the first time to understand it, find the right program and feel comfortable taking that next step.
I approached the site from the visitor's point of view:
What is this class?
Is it right for me or my child?
Do I need experience?
What should I expect?
And how do I get started?
Those questions shaped the entire website.

Making Something Unique Easier to Understand
When your business offers something people aren't already familiar with, a name and a short class description aren't always enough.
People want to see what they're signing up for. That's why we added more information, photos and videos to the program pages. Visitors can get a better feel for the classes, understand what to expect and feel more confident trying something new.
I also created dedicated paths for kids, teens, adults, homeschool families and adults 55+, making it much easier for visitors to quickly find programs designed for them.

Keeping What Makes MindShift, MindShift
This wasn't about changing MindShift's personality. I kept the established branding and energetic feel, but gave it a more engaging, organized and user-focused experience.
Throughout the project, I worked closely with the MindShift team. We reviewed, adjusted, added, moved and refined things as we went—always coming back to one question:
Does this make sense for the person using the website?
The answer to that question is probably my favorite part of the finished site. It doesn't just look different. It works differently. The new website better tells the story of what makes MindShift special while helping visitors go from “What is this?” to “I want to try that!”
I’m incredibly proud of how it came together. Take a look at the new MindShift Gym website at MindShiftGym.com—and if you're ready to try something a little different, check out the gym too!
Thinking about a website redesign? I’d love to help you create a website that doesn’t just look great, but makes it easier for your customers to understand what you offer and take the next step.
